Scholarship
This scholarship fund was established in 2024 by the Green County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors to assist and encourage Green County students, who will be attending an accredited college, university, or technical school to pursue a career in Law Enforcement.
For the calendar year 2025 the Board of Directors expects to award one - $1,000 scholarship.
Eligbility Requirements:
- Must be a resident of Green County
- Attending High School expecting to graduate during the application year
- Be accepted and planning to attend an accredited college, university, or technical school pursuing a career in Law Enforcement
Financial need will be considered; however, it is not a limiting factor.
Application Procedure:
- Complete the Scholarship Application (Incomplete applications will not be considered)
- Complete a 500-word essay about why you are pursuing a career in Law Enforcement
- Attach your high school transcripts (can be unffocial)
- Provide 1 letter of reference from a local Law Enforcement Officer*
* If you are interested in a career in law enforcement, but do not have a connection with a local law enforcement officer, please reach out to contact@greencountycrimestoppers.com and we will connect you with a local law enforcement officer who will meet with you to talk about your career aspirations and if appropriate will provide a letter a reference.
Deadline:
A fully completed application with any required supporting documents shall be submitted to the Green County Crime Stoppers Board of Directors no later than March 1st, 2025. Applications and supporting documents should be emailed as attachments to contact@greencountycrimestoppers.com or drop off application and all supporting documents in a sealed envelope to the Green County Sheriff’s Office addressed to: Green County Crime Stoppers Scholarship Committee. Late applications will not be accepted.
